Savage Heart Page 17
“I think you’d be a great dad. You’re great with me,” I said softly as I squeezed his knee. He gave me a small smile at that, which I returned.
“She’s right. Don’t doubt yourself. When you have kids of your own, you’ll surprise yourself,” Nate smiled. “You saw Sav’s father Lionel. He’s all hard-assed, but he’s quite soft with his kids and Izzy.”
“I’m not like Lionel,” Damien said with an eye roll.
I didn’t think he was either. Not entirely. Sure, they were both gruff, fiery werewolf men, but they were different too. Damien had a soft side that I saw so much now.
“Do you guys really want kids?” I asked softly. The thought of having my own children scared me a little, for a number of reasons.
The main one being that I didn’t feel ready at all.
“Only if you want them. I’m happy as long as I have you,” Damien said sweetly, and my cheeks flushed as he gave me his rare, tender smile.
“Same here. I’d like them one day, but I’m in no rush. And if that’s not something you want, then I’ll understand. It won’t change how I feel about you,” Nate said as he cupped my face. “You are perfect. Everything I ever could have dreamed of.”
I smiled as my chest tightened at his sweet words, and he leaned forward, his lips meeting mine in a tender kiss.
I closed my eyes, enjoying the sweet moment as he held my face ever so lightly.
We broke apart, a smile on my lips as Nate gave me a peck on the forehead.
I turned back to Damien, but before I could say a word, he was pulling me in for a kiss too, seeming to take Nate’s show of affection as a challenge.
Damien’s kiss was more heated, and I moved to press my hand on his hard chest, unable to keep from moaning when his tongue sought to deepen the kiss.
“Maybe we should take this somewhere more private?” Nate suggested, and we broke apart to find one of the young boys standing on the edge of the playground watching us curiously.
“Yeah, maybe,” Damien chuckled.
“If we go somewhere more private, it might escalate beyond kissing,” I stated innocently.
“Is there a problem with that?” Nate said cooly, a sly smile breaking across his face.
The thought of getting all hot and bothered with the pair sent a flare of heat coursing through me, and the two shifters reacted as their eyes dilated and they drew in my aroused scent. It would definitely take my mind off worrying about the others.
“Well, now we have to,” Nate chuckled.
“I could always turn you down,” I said with a shrug.
A deep growl rose up, and the next thing I knew, I was swept up in Damien’s arms.
“You’d never turn us down, you’re just as lustful as we are,” he growled softly.
“True,” I smirked as he turned towards the house.
“Better catch up Nate, or you’ll miss your shot,” Damien said wickedly as his wings exploded forth from his back.
I heard Nate’s curse of frustration just as Damien launched us into the air, soaring towards the second floor of the building. He flew alongside the windows until he came upon an open one, and he swooped inside.
Of course he’d left his own window open.
“Never know when I need the fly-in,” he chuckled as he marched me over to his bed and set me down.
“I thought you two were sharing me,” I pouted.
“He’ll catch up,” Damien said as he crawled onto the bed to hover over me.
A quick check mentally, and Nate was making his way quickly to join us.
I smirked up at my wolf as he trapped me in his muscular arms, dipping down to kiss the tip of my nose.
“My mate,” he breathed, a delighted smile breaking across his face as he stared down at me.
“My little wolf,” I shot back, causing him to pout playfully.
“I’m anything but little,” he smirked.
Well, he certainly wasn’t wrong there.
He claimed my mouth in a heated kiss, his body dipping down to cover mine as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
His wings withdrew as I cupped his face, kissing him as one hand began to explore my body. I quivered at his warm touch, his finger sliding under my shirt to caress my bare skin.
His mouth moved away from my mouth, leaving tender kisses along my jaw and down my neck as he worked my shirt off.
He was quick to unsnap my bra and toss it aside as I tugged at his shirt, which he helped me remove in a most inelegant fashion.
I gasped as he dove down, kissing along my collarbone as his hands squeezed my boobs gently, his thumbs running over my hardened nipples.
“You smell amazing,” he groaned as he dragged kisses along my neck.
His arousal strained against his jeans, and I moaned as he ground against me.
“Maybe you need to remind me how ‘not little’ you are,” I goaded him as I kissed along his jaw teasingly.
“Maybe,” he grunted as he slid down my body.
I squealed as he yanked my denim shorts apart, tearing the fabric rather than just taking them off like a normal person.
“I’ll buy you more,” he rumbled as he hooked a finger through my black panties.
“You better,” I growled, smirking as those wicked eyes met mine. “Rip them and I’ll bite you.”
He smirked, deliberately tearing my panties off.
What a monster.
I rolled us over with my kitsune strength, pinning him to the bed.
“Meanie.” I arched a brow at him, trailing my eyes over him in delight.
I guess it was time to be a real pain too. Nothing like Tristan and I the other night though.
“Anything goes near my ass, you’re going out the window,” he threatened.
“Ugh, fine, you’re no fun,” I grumbled with an exaggerated eye roll.
“No handcuffs either,” he said quickly, making me pout. “I’m not ending up like Tristan. Leon went and got him out of that little situation.”
I smirked at that. I knew one of them would go to his rescue.
I shuffled back, straddling his thighs, and eyed the way his erection strained against his jeans.
It had to be uncomfortable.
‘It is. You should let it out,’ Damien suggested.
“Or not,” I said slyly as I ran my fingers over the bump in his jeans, loving how he shuddered from my touch.
He scowled at me, clearly not too happy with how his dick was now bending and straining against his jeans.
Maybe he shouldn’t buy such tight jeans.
Then again, I wouldn’t be able to check out that fine ass.
Damien reached to unzip himself, but I caught his arms, pinning him back down, enjoying his grumpy pout.
I would have my fun with him.
‘As long as you don’t mind me having my fun with you,’ Nate chuckled.
I leaped forward when he snuck up behind me, trying to grab me and pull me off Damien.
Instead, I ended up on the pillows, waggling my eyebrows at the pair.
“Ruin my fun,” I grumbled as Damien unzipped himself, sighing with relief as his erection sprung free.
“We’re going to have heaps of fun, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Nate grinned as he tugged his shirt off.
I eyed that toned, devilish body gleefully.
Fine, we’d definitely be having fun.
“Strip, both of you. I don’t like being the only one naked,” I stated as I sat on the pillows.
“You’ve not cared before,” Damien remarked, although he continued to pull off his jeans and kick off his shoes.
I stuck my tongue out playfully, enjoying the show as they both stripped down to nothing, allowing their manhoods to stand tall in all their glory.
Yep, I was definitely going to have my fun with them.
I beckoned them both onto the bed, and they obeyed, glancing at one another knowingly.
I contemplated how I wanted to have them for a moment, be
fore chuckling softly.
“We’re doing a spit-roast,” I stated as I moved to all fours, shaking my ass at them teasingly. “Now, who’s going to be the poker?”
“Technically we both are,” Nate murmured as he reached out to glide his hand along my side, sending sweet tingles through me.
“Well, for that comment, you’re up the front,” I stated, ignoring Damien’s smug look as Nate rolled his eyes.
He wasn’t too fussed as long as he got to enjoy the moment with me.
I intended to make it enjoyable.
Damien positioned himself behind me, gripping my ass and spreading my cheeks for easier access.
My body ached with need now, and I gritted my teeth as he gently teased my wet folds.
He growled softly at how ready I already was for him, before slowly sinking within them.
I moaned and shuddered at his length filling me up, loving his thickness.
I focused back on Nate, who’d moved into position before me on the bed.
He stroked my hair as I took him into my mouth, and I gently played with his balls as I used my tongue to caress his length.
We moved into a rhythm, the boys taking cues mentally on when to speed up or slow down to save me from choking as they rocked me back and forth between them.
I arched and moaned, the sensations from Damien mixing with Nate’s soft caresses so perfectly.
I quivered as the blissful coil grew taut inside me, every touch igniting the fire within.
Damien stroked my walls expertly, and when he leaned over me, dragging his teeth across my skin before littering my back in kisses, I was begging him mentally not to stop.
He growled as his hand snaked under me, and Nate held onto my head gently as he held back from face-fucking me too much.
I licked and sucked his length, feeling it stiffen as he drew close.
Damien’s fingers brushed over my clit, and I felt the warm of his angel grace spread through his fingers.
Oh fuck.
All it took was a few strokes of those magical fingers to have me nearly choking on Nate as the wave of golden bliss tore through me, blinding me in serene, golden-white light.
Nate cursed as he pulled away to save from my teeth crunching down as I gripped the bedsheets, and I felt his finish splatter along my chin and chest as Damien hammered into me.
He snarled as his fingers dug into me, and then that same hot-white energy exploded through me again with his orgasm, a wave of sheer bliss and contentment rippling through me.
I opened up my mind, drawing in the same sensations from my mates, amplifying my own finish in magnitudes.
I blinked, finding myself now in the white expanse of my mind with Nate as he held me close.
I savored the contented moment, caught up in a cloud of bliss, not a worry in the world as I enjoyed the moment.
But like all good things, it came to an end, and I returned to the bed, a panting, satisfied mess on the bed with my two mates.
Well. Mostly satisfied.
I was sure I could coax them into another round to keep our minds occupied.
I’d rather more sex than stressing about my other mates.
I had to have faith in them.
“Well, I’ll need a breather for a minute before I can go again,” Damien grumbled as he lay on his back, sprawled out on the bed beside me.
“Well, looks like I’m up then,” Nate said smoothly as he crawled over me, smiling down at me.
A kitsune orgasm was always welcome.

Leon.
I sat on the top of the warehouse, my wings curled around me as I focused my hearing.
Tristan had taken control of one of his demon blades and had zipped in through a broken window of the rundown warehouse to listen in.
There were a lot of assorted shifters and powerful witches within, that much I knew. But I had not seen or sensed Declan inside, nor saw a Golem anywhere through the window in the top of the building.
Wes was keeping lookout, and I listened carefully, sifting through the conversations inside the warehouse to try to find useful information.
Mentions of an attack piqued my interest, and I focused on the conversation between two witches it seemed.
“That institute is warded up tighter than a virgin. No one is getting in there.”
“Don’t worry, Declan will find a way in, he knows what he’s doing.”
“But… the dragon watches over that place,” the first female voice dropped low, clearly concerned about Mr Oxley. They should be afraid of him.
“Relax, Declan has a plan for him.”
“Which is?”
“Well now, it wouldn’t be much of a secret if I told you,” the second woman sneered.
“Do we have enough manpower?”
“Of course. He’s called upon all of us to deal with this issue. He believes they may have the stone. Once he has that back, everything will be fine. He’ll find a way to restore himself fully, and we’ll be taken care of handsomely,” the woman said with glee.
“You sure it’s not just a revenge mission?” the first woman hissed.
“Of course it is. The kitsune that brought him down is there, but he’ll deal with her. And the dragon.”
Declan was after Sav, I knew that already, but the reminder sent a chill down my spine.
I listened a bit longer, but the conversation turned to mundane things, like the best places to buy spell ingredients.
I moved onto another conversation that sounded worthwhile. One about the time of their planned attack.
And it was only a few days away.
‘Fuck,’ Wes growled.
‘We need to let father know,’ Tristan said quickly.
‘You let him know. I’ll listen a bit longer, see what else we can find out,’ I sent back.
A few days until they planned to hit the institute? And they didn’t seem too flustered by the warding on the institute, which I’d believed was impenetrable until now.
Maybe I was wrong.
Maybe, just maybe, Mr Oxley wasn’t as grand and all powerful as I thought he was.
I drew in a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down and focus on the conversations inside.
We’d be okay. Mr Oxley had never failed us. Besides, we’d give him the heads up, and we’d go from there.
I pushed aside my worries and unease, hearing more comments on some stone. Was it the dragon orb of Mr Oxley’s they were talking about? Was that why Declan wanted to hit us?
But as the minutes ticked by, I realized we weren’t going to get any more information from them.
We needed to head home and fill everyone in on what the go was.
Tristan had called Mr Oxley, who wanted to hear about everything once we were home, but was perplexed about how soon the attack was planned.
I soared off the roof once the coast was clear, and we hurried back to my Jeep, exchanging concerned glances.
The institute was going to be attacked. And not sometime in the distant future. In mere days.
We were definitely not prepared for this.
“Four days,” Mr Oxley murmured as he stood behind his desk, his brow creased as his eyes stormed.
I stood on the opposite side with Wes and Tristan, relaying everything we’d learned, including the numbers, types of shifters, all the witches.
“They can’t get past the wardings without permission from current residents of the institute, right?” I asked, gritting my teeth uneasily.
“That’s correct,” Mr Oxley nodded. “But since the children came, I’ve rectified that. No one can enter unless they’ve received my permission.”
I relaxed at this. Declan had messed with Dom’s head some time ago, and it was possible he’d gotten permission from him then. But it was useless now.
That was the only theory I’d had on how Declan could enter.
“So, they mentioned this stone a few times. Any more information other than that?” Mr Oxley asked as he rested h
is cane against his desk and straightened his jacket.
“Nope. Just that Declan wants it,” Tristan said quickly. He’d also heard things about the stone.
“Any of their actual plans or strategies?” Mr Oxley arched a brow at us.
“No. This lot didn’t seem to be his main crew for strategic stuff. I’m guessing they left after Sav’s dream, and it’s just the leftovers,” Tristan said with a shrug.
“Which means we don’t know the extent of their numbers or their power,” Mr Oxley murmured, his brow creasing once more. He scratched his beard, looking perplexed as he mulled it over.
“I will set about putting more safeguards into place. We now know when the attack is coming. Knowing Declan, he won’t care who is caught in the crossfire, especially in a supe only town. I have half the mind to drop the institute wardings until the attack comes, then put them back up, trapping them in here. That way, no civilians will be caught in the crossfire,” Mr Oxley said as he thought over it.
“Except they’ll be caught in here with us,” Tristan smirked.
“What about the children?” Wesley brought up.
“The underground bunker. Moving them out of here is too risky. It could be what Declan wants so he can take them back. They’ll be safest down there. I’ll inform the Council as well of all of this. See how they want to handle it. I suggest you all take Sav and hide in the shelter as well. I’ll handle the attack, along with the Council,” Mr Oxley said firmly.
“Like hell we will hide. That fucker threatened Sav, we’re not going to stand idly by while he comes here, intent to kill her. We’ll fight too,” Tristan snarled.
Mr Oxley’s golden eyes flickered as his lips set in a grim line. He stared at Tristan for a few heavy moments.
“Fine. But Sav is to take shelter, since she’s the biggest target here,” he said, his tone not to be messed with.
Not that Tristan cared.
“She won’t want to just sit back. You know Sav, she’s stubborn as a mule,” Tristan smirked, and Mr Oxley sighed.
“I know, but it’s too risky.”
“What about her family?” Wesley suggested.
“No, this is not their fight,” Mr Oxley growled, his eyes flashing unhappily.
