I really just wanted to run away right now, but I needed to get these cuffs off first.

And I needed Tubby’s keys for that.

I guess it was time to improvise a plan of action.

The one thing I did best.

  25

  Wesley.

Sav. Was she okay? How did this whole new mate thing happen anyway? God, I was stressing so badly about my little fox. I wanted her back, even if we were an odd pairing. You know, since she had tried to kill me more than once. But I loved the power switch in our relationship, how she’d submit to me as I claimed her. I tried not to fall into the few moments we shared, as it just made the fire inside me burn and beg to explode to life.

I needed to keep my head cool. We needed to follow the plan.

“Is this the place?” Damien asked as we walked through the darkened streets. Damien, Leon, and I, were scouting the streets after Samson recognized the names to try to locate the Collector’s mansion.

Everyone else was waiting back at the vehicles for us to report back.

I found myself reaching out with my mind, trying to search for that fiery pink and white glimmer around me. That unpredictable little vixen who’d claimed us all.

But nothing greeted me, just the minds of the other guys.

“I think it is,” Leon murmured as he finally slowed before a large set of gates. It was difficult, considering the entire block was just massive mansions and estates. And many of them looked similar.

“You think it is? That’s not good enough,” Damien growled.

“No, it is, look closer,” Leon murmured.

Damien peered at the heavy iron gates, and I mimicked him. If I focused, I could see the magic humming along the perimeter, vibrating around the gates and along the white stone walls that walled the whole place off.

“What’s the bet if we try to cross that, he’ll know it?” I muttered. Warlocks. I hated them and their powerful magic. As if we needed this hassle right now.

“I’ll let Tristan know,” Damien said quietly.

He mentally reached out while we surveyed the property through the iron gate without getting too close.

No need to let the piece of shit know we were here.

Tristan’s voice came through as clear as day in my mind as well as the others.

‘We’re coming down, Mr Oxley said the magic is a warding spell, masking it while also alerting the creator of the warding if anyone crosses it. He will work with Dom and Chris to ward us, as trying to tear the warding down will be too difficult, but he can hopefully create a counter warding to shield us so we can go in and scout around.’

Mr Oxley sure was on a mission tonight.

I stood on the sidewalk, looking around at all the other mansions, many of them now darkened due to how late it was. But not the Collector’s one. It was lit up, all the windows shining brightly.

The group of men joined us, all of Sav’s family and Mr Oxley, along with Tristan and Dominic. Anyone who saw us might be alarmed. At least Tristan had done a quick check with a demon blade along the sidewalk to make sure there were no cameras to spy us before we’d come down to scout around.

“So this is the place,” Lachlan growled softly.

“I can’t feel Izzy,” Chris murmured.

“We can’t feel Sav either, the warding must be blocking the bond,” Leon spoke up.

“Well, you boys best get to work so we bring this fucker down,” Bernie sighed as he looked at the two witches.

Dominic gave Chris a sheepish look before stepping away from the safety of Tristan’s side and standing before Mr Oxley.

Mr Oxley had a stoney look as he gazed at the gates before us. Something dark and stormy in his features. Was it just because of Sav? No. I felt like there was more to it than that.

“Chris, Dominic, focus on gathering your energy to your core. I’ll guide it into a protective barrier. We will be shielding Leon, Damien, Benny, Samson, and Soren, and they’ll jump the walls to scout for us,” Mr Oxley stated.

“What about us?” Lionel muttered as he folded his arms over his chest.

I’d forgotten how thuggish werewolves could be, maybe since the twins were not full werewolves.

“We wait and hang back. Trying to shield too many of us will drain the boys faster,” Mr Oxley said firmly, and Lionel just growled in response.

Soren was quick to shut him up with a soft word. Mr Oxley had put thought into it. He’d chosen at least one male from each bonded group so they could all see what was going on, while leaving out the two hot-headed werewolves who could blow it for us. The group he was sending also had heightened predator senses.

But I was not so sure Damien was a good choice to send. Leon, yes, but Damien, he was more stubborn.

‘I won’t jeopardize the mission,’ Damien growled into my mind.

Ugh. This mind link thing was annoying sometimes.

I planted my feet wide and crossed my arms, tapping the sheath on my forearm that held a few throwing knives. I didn’t use weapons too much, but when I did, I liked to attack from afar.

Samson had a bow and arrow, while Benny had a few knives. Soren had a crossbow on his back, while Lachlan and Lionel had an assortment of knives tucked into an array of sheaths.

Leon had no weapons, neither did Damien, although I did notice Damien had Sav’s kitsune blade.

Something Soren had noticed when we’d arrived.

He’d been shocked to see it, saying it had originally been his but had gone missing that fateful night. Knowing that Sav had learned to wield it made him proud. Too bad it was on other supes, although we tried to explain we were fairly certain a large majority of them were rogues anyway.

Tristan had his unique demon blades all tucked into a black belt, and Dominic just had a few charms and bags of magic shit in his pockets. Not that I fully understood what they could do.

Mr Oxley touched the foreheads of the two witches, and their eyes all glowed golden softly.

We waited a few moments until Mr Oxley gave the a-okay, and then those he’d named were scaling the walls. Leon and Damien just sprouted their wings and flew over, and I pried into their minds to see what they saw.

The estate was huge, with the mansion in the distant on a small rise, a large water fountain out front with a rearing marble horse in it. I rotated between Damien and Leon’s minds as they quickly sorted out with the others on which ways they would go to scout the place out.

Leon headed around the back, while Damien and Benny took the front. Soren and Samson headed to either side.

Following with Leon, I watched as he found a large hedged maze, which he flew over ever so quickly.

Mr Oxley’s warding was only from magic, not sight.

Damien and Benny were scouting around the large parking lot of high end cars, from flashy sports cars to some stunning old Rolls Royces. I doubted they all belonged to the Collector. Probably his friends he had over.

Leon was now moving onto some gardens, his wings having withdrawn as he slunk through the various animal shaped hedges and fancy rose bushes.

He ducked down and waited patiently as one guard passed him.

Mr Oxley’s warding would cover their scent I imagined, and it proved true when the obvious shifter didn’t notice Leon. The guard had the animalistic glint in his eye that shifters had as he looked back at the house, the lights reflecting off them. He then whistled and headed back the way he came, leaving Leon to continue his investigation of the area.

It was becoming more and more clear from each twin that we were not going to be so lucky to just find some shed or something on the grounds where they were being kept.

No, they were inside the mansion. But at least we were finding out how many guards patrolled the estate, and where our best point of entry would be.

Mr Oxley’s voice rung out in my head, and I knew everyone else heard him too as Lachlan and Lionel snapped their heads up from pacing and brooding.

  ‘The mansion is heavily spel
led. The magic used there is mind-bending. I’ve seen it before. It will make the prisoners and all those within its walls, not of their own free will, incapable of locating exits or windows. They will be trapped even if they escape their primary holding area.’

Great. As if we needed another fun piece of magic to go up against.

“So what do we do?” Tristan muttered as he stood beside me.

“We will have to take down the magic warding the building. It will take time to be certain that he will not be aware of us, but then we can infiltrate it. We will carefully and quietly avoid any guards we come across so that our presence is not discovered,” Mr Oxley’s voice echoed as he spoke out loud.

“This should be fun,” Lachlan murmured, although there was no humor to his voice.

“I would’ve preferred to kill them,” Lionel grumbled.

“We will alert the Council once we have Savage and Isabella back, they can deal with those remaining. Declan Barivian, the Collector, will be put down tonight.”

I shuddered at the pure venom and determination in Mr Oxley’s voice. I’d never heard him so threatening before, and it actually made me gulp. Whatever Mr Oxley was, no one would want to mess with him.

  Maybe not even a Warlock.

“So, you are being a pain, huh?” Maurice clucked as she got me to sit on the medical table. Not overly easy considering I was still cuffed.

“I never make anything easy,” I said sweetly, and she just gave me a displeased look.

“Well, the test is simple really, I’m a witch, I have some potions already made up. I’ll splash this one on your stomach and cast a spell, if it glows, you conceived, if it doesn’t, well, better luck next time,” she snorted as she turned to her cabinet behind her. She knelt down as she pulled the bottom doors open and began checking the assorted vials and bottles as she muttered softly.

Tubby was standing to the side, the door now closed.

His fat, stumpy little legs wouldn’t be able to carry him fast enough.

  I had this.

I slammed my foot into the back of Maurice’s head, her forehead smacking the cabinet with a harsh crack as she crumpled forward.

I didn’t bother to check on her, if she was dead or just unconscious. She was only assisting the Collector, and she didn’t seem to care about it. She was just as guilty.

Tubby went to shriek, but I’d launched on him immediately, spinning him and pinning him against the wall as I threw my hands over his head and pulled the chain of the cuffs tight against his throat.

He clawed at the chain, gurgling and gasping as I held it tight. I didn’t let up, even when he elbowed me in the side and made me growl.

It wasn’t long before he was sliding down the wall, his fight finished as he drifted into unconsciousness.

I laid him down, patting down both his sides until I found the keys in his left pocket. I unlocked my cuffs and put them onto him instead, clicking them together and then moving over to Maurice.

Her eyes were wide open as she lay awkwardly between the medical table and cabinet, blood pooling from a nasty gash on her forehead.

I didn’t need to check for a pulse. I knew she was gone.

But no guilt niggled at me. How many others had she revealed to be pregnant and had them sent off to God knows where? She’d had not the slightest inkling of remorse or care for me.

I tossed the cuff keys into the cabinet behind the vials before standing up.

I checked the drawers quickly, snatching out the scalpel I found and drawing in a deep breath.

Time to get the fuck out of here and get help.

I dashed out into the hall, heading in the opposite direction I’d come. I hadn’t seen any exits on the way here, so the only other chance was where I hadn’t been yet.

I shot up the hall silently, surveying any of the open rooms, studies, bedrooms, libraries, so many rooms for the building, and yet not a single one had a window.

The tiniest bit of uncertainty flooded through me, and I wondered if just maybe, maybe we were still underground.

No, it didn’t feel like that. Being underground, I could sense it. Like when I was in a basement, I could just sense the earth around me.

I couldn’t feel that right now.

  But where were the windows?

I reached a staircase leading down, and I bit my lip as I hesitated. I doubted further up the never-ending hall would reveal anything.

  I needed to move.

I flew down the stairs, keeping low as I flicked my eyes around as I reached the next floor down. The stairs didn’t continue beyond it, so I stepped into the hall, hugging the wall as I glanced up and down the corridor.

I could hear voices coming from the right, so I took the left, sticking to the wall and checking for cameras along the way.

I growled as my senses felt all jumbled, as if nothing was quite right. I couldn’t sense others easily, their movements or their auras, everything felt out of whack. It had to be this place. It was affecting me somehow.

I cursed as a doorway opened up ahead, and three men walked out of a room, laughing and joking. They wore high-end suits and ties, but their heads snapped my way as their nostrils flared.

  Werewolves.

  Fuck me.

“Well, it’s that kitsune from the fight,” one of them murmured as he smirked at me. He couldn’t be too much older than me, but his eyes were harsh and cruel.

“Yeah, the one who got fucked,” the man on his right snickered.

“I don’t think you should be wandering these halls, precious,” the first man said, his voice low and menacing.

  Great.

And there were another two guys stepping out of the room behind the three now. Five against one. If I had my kitsune blade and wasn’t already drained from my earlier fights and hot sex with Nate, maybe I’d be unfazed.

“The Collector will be thankful if we bring you back to him,” the man on the left stated as he looked back at his companions.

  Yeah, nope.

But I needed to not get discovered too, so running away wouldn’t help, they’d alert someone.

“You liked watching the fights?” I purred, leaning lazily against the wall as I kept my scalpel concealed.

“Seeing you get beaten and taken certainly was a good show,” the first man growled as his nostrils flared. I still reeked of sex, so I hoped my old arousal was enough to throw them off.

“Hmm, really?” I mused as I cocked my head. “Did you imagine it was you taking me like that? Forcing yourself into me?” I said huskily as I slunk towards them, making sure to sway my hips as I bit my lip teasingly.

Their eyes darkened as their nostrils flared, and I knew it was working.

Werewolves. They always had a tendency to think with their dicks, they solved everything by fucking.

The first man growled as he took a large step forward, halting me before him as I stared up at him with hooded lashes.

“You like to be taken, huh?” he growled as he pushed me up against the wall.

“Do you like to take what you want?” I retorted with a sly smile as I used my empty hand to trace up his suit sleeve.

He shuddered at this, and I just chewed my bottom lip.

“We should take our turns with her, I doubt he’ll care, as long as we bring her back to the Collector in one piece,” one of the others said. I was too busy focusing on the main man before me.

“So beautiful,” one of them growled.

Well, I’d beg to argue, considering how much I desperately wanted a shower, but I doubted they cared right now. Considering I could smell their arousals.

My body was only just reacting though, more out of force than desire. I needed them to want me. I needed to get them into the room.

Seduction. I could do this easily. I’d always done it. Although it seemed now that I was mated, I didn’t crave the crazy sex before dispatching my opponents.

But I’d use it this time, taking all five out sile
ntly would be too difficult.

“You all want to take turns with me?” I chuckled. “Let’s hope you’re good then,” I breathed as I leaned forward and nibbled on the main man’s earlobe.

He snarled as he dragged me into the room, and the other men were all growling and crowding around me as they shut the door behind us.

I flicked my eyes to the bed, wondering if we’d even make it there.

  Nope.

The first man was already unzipping his pants and pulling my panties down.

Hands were running down my already bare body, and one of them unhooked my bra and tossed it on the floor.

I giggled coyly as I lolled my head back, as if I was enjoying their attention.

“Get on your hands and knees,” the main guy demanded.

I obeyed, sliding down to the floor and licking my lips as I stared at the other men.

He got down on his knees behind me, and I was grateful as fuck that I was still lubed up thanks to Nate earlier as the werewolf slammed into me.

“Open wide, bitch,” one of the others growled as he got to his knees before me.

He already had his dick in his hand, and I was at least glad it seemed he’d showered recently. Dirty dicks were always a no-no.

I felt the thin sliver of metal under my palm as I kept the scalpel concealed from them.

I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my lips as the werewolf screwed me from behind. I was terrible. Sex was my life.

I stroked the length of the one before me, biting my lip as I eyed the other three men standing around us.

I eased forward, my breasts bouncing as the one behind gripped my hips hard as he grunted and fucked me.

I took the decent sized penis into my mouth, moaning as he groaned.

He gently thrust into my face, and I fought the urge to gag as I bobbed my head, sucking on him and sliding my tongue along the bottom of his shaft.

“I’m next,” one of the others grunted as he jerked himself. They all had their pants down now.

  Horny bastards.

As if I was one to talk.

I was actually enjoying being done so hard and fast from behind. My body was reacting as it normally would, the bliss coiling up inside me, nearing its peak quite quickly. Maybe it was because I knew what I would be doing as soon as I got one of them to finish.
